So new year's eve i went 2 a house party,Met some interesting people, had a few laughs, a glass of wine n a couple sips of champion when the clock struck midnight,it was good times...
The next morning,well if 1pm still counts as morning, i was on my way 2 Fin tree ( a small sub town near Kelowna B.C) filled up my tank and off i went.
Now for the 1st 2 hr's it was pretty uneventful (lil did i know that in a lil while i would not have had a problem if things stayed that way); Listened 2 some music and looked at some tree's, car's, n pavement... highway driving isn't exactly the most intellectually stimulating activity on the face of the planet....
So i was about 15 min away from Merritt when things got real interesting real fast and not in a good way.
My car started 2 slide sideways as my tires lost contact with the pavement due 2 the 4 inches of slush and ice that lay over the ground in a hellish version of a winter time post card, it looked pretty but as i was trying 2 avoid going through the barrier that was about a foot away and the edge of the 1000 foot cliff that was just behind that, "pretty" wasn't a word that immediately sprang 2 mind.
Call me crazy but i was more concerned about the fact that my car was now plowing in2 the chest high wall of snow that had built up in the medium that divided the 2 sides of the high way, from the moment i lost control of my car time seemed 2 slow down and speed up simultaneously, where it seems like no matter what u do it will b 2 late yet u have all the time in the world 2 act.
when my car finished rolling and time had regained its normalcy it took me a sec 2 realize my car had come 2 a stop sitting on its roof.
I admit i was a lil disoriented and didn't think about the consequences about undoing my seat belt while hanging upside down till i actually undid my seat belt ..... yup that hurt
and 2 conclude i totaled my car fucked up my shoulder but at least no one can complain i didn't bring in the new yr with a bang!
